Toys found
27 05, 20
In My frantic search for the repair kit for the outboard motor I found these. The upper is "Flosty the SnowMobile Man" this was Jupiter's FAVORITE toy while he could still see. Jupiter would never let Cinco play with him cause Cinco would perform a squeekectemy on him. Jupiter used to hide him from Cinco. His squeeky still works since 2004!
Below is "Abstract Squirrel", Cinco's favorite toy and Cinco used him to teach Jupiter about Squirrels when he was just 6 month old. At the kitchen sliding door SQ's would climb on the screen and torment Cinco and Jupiter. Cinco ran down stairs and got Abstract Squirrel and showed him to Jupiter and he would shake him hard, put him down, then bark at the Squirrels on the screen door. Cinco was smart.
I am going bring these to their resting place when the winds calm down.

Still under stay at home... car engine starter broke
27 05, 20
Over 2 months under emergency orders… they are slacking up a little each week.
The starter for the engine broke… that is the line that run from the pull handle to the fly wheel. I had a short piece of rope, so I was able to remove the cable spring and hand start it today. I just found a segment of Spectra line on the boat and have rewound the spring. I'll try remounted it to the engine later today once the sun goes down a bit more. Spectra line in different sizes is nice to have but impossible to cut. Have to use a hot-knife. I'll see how this works out, but it should never break again!

I just bought a new "car" aka dink

More details to come, but my old dink (i purchased used in St Martin) was from 1995 and it was not holding air, so I'm using the completely inflatable for the next week. I pick up my new car next week. I'll send pictures. She is an Italian made racing car ;) ha ha ha with a old 9.8HP outboard motor.

They are starting to relax the rules here in Grenada… It will be some time before things get back to normal. Today we were allowed on the beaches only in the morning. 6th apart and face masks. Still no public transportation and no inbound tourist.
Still in Curfew

Another weekend in Curfew…. PM is going to give a speech tonight at 8PM… I'll have to listen to see if anything is going to change in the next week.
Curfew Extended again

This time until May 12.
Neighbor called me on the radio the other day and said, "get out your sextant, the sun and moon are both up in the sky right now." For the past few days and at night I've been practicing navigation with the sextant. I've also learned how to use my StarFinder 2102-D and can site stars… the only horizon I have at night is to the south-east… So I have to use the StarFinder to see what will be rising at 10PM or 2AM in the area so I get an actual Horizon. Fun, first run I was 23miles off… two nights ago I was only 4 miles off!!! I have another book to read on this to better understand how to adjust for altitude vs Angle of the star.
Dink is on the deck as of last night. Repairs to a couple of leaks started this morning and will continue. Next a second coat on one patch and the stuff has to cure for 24 hours, then get painted to protect if form UV light. No where to go with the curfew…
